职位描述: AsanIndustryRepresentativeyouwillconsultwithdealerstomarketCaterpillarproductsandservicesandassistinthedevelopmentofdealersalescapability.Thisisthethirdfield-basedassignmenttosomethinglikedependingontheexperienceoftheindividualcontributor,thisfield-basedjobwillhaveassignmentsthatarecomplexandchallengingandbegintobecomestrategicinnature. JobDuties/Responsibilitiesmayinclude,butarenotlimitedto: *Salesliaisonamongdealers,customersandotherCaterpillarpersonnel.Youshouldbeveryfamiliarwiththecompany’sprocesses,systemsandmethodologiesaccountableforcontributingtotheidentification,analysisandresolutionofneedsandproblemsinanassignedindustry.Youwillbeperformingcomplexanalysiswork,identifyingandresolvingproblemsthatarelesstacticalandmorestrategicinnature.Challengesincludedevelopingandmeetingexpectationsindeliveringresults,consideringandrecommendingalternativecoursesofactions,makingtimelydecisionsanddevelopinggreatercommunicationskills.YouwillworkmoredirectlywithotherCaterpillarunits,customers,andpossiblysuppliers.*Counselingdealersindevelopingincreasedhumanperformancecapability;providingguidanceonexistingandpotentialcustomerserviceissuesandimprovementmeasureswithinanindustry;assistingdealersonforecast,sales/rental/usedstrategyplanningandsalestechniques;supportingrolloutofnewproducts(eg.,products,parts,customerserviceagreements,otherserviceproducts);analyzingandcommunicatingmarketplaceandcompetitiveactivitytoCaterpillarpersonnelanddealers;analyzingproductapplication,configurationandutilizationthatprovidethebestsolutionforacustomer;assistingdealerswithbusinessplanningwithinanindustry;creatingandpromotingprogramsthatincreasesaleswhilemaximizingpricerealization;andcontinuingtodeveloprequiredproficiencylevelinthespecifiedfoundationcompetenciesandskills.*Understandandkeepcurrentoncustomer/dealermarketneeds,understandhowandwhydecisionsaremadewithintheirworkgroupandorganization.Youwillberesponsibleforapplyingthosedecisionstosupportanddevelopproductsales,dealereffectiveness,overallsegmentgrowth,processimprovement,salesmanagementprocessimprovement,etc.Youwillapplyyourknowledgeofproducts,technology,industry,etc.,insupportofCaterpillar,dealerandcustomerexpectationsandneeds.Youmayprovidedirectiontolessexperiencedpersonnel.*Developmentalandcontinuallearningwillbedirectedthroughexperienceandstayingabreastoftechnologychanges.Keylearningcomesfromcontinuedexperienceintheassignedindustry,enhancingcommunicationandpeoplerelationshipskills,improvingproblemsolvingandanalysisability,buildingandusingbusinessskills,enhancinguseofCaterpillarsystemsanddevelopingleadershipabilities.YoumuststayabreastofindustryandtechnologychangesandrelatethosechangestoCaterpillar,dealerandcustomerneeds.
